Altruism Taking Item Powers

I performed altruism on a character who was wearing an item that granted the other character permanent slow. I now have permanent slow without having the item. I believe I can fix it through death, a transmuter, or wearing and then removing the item, so I’m not concerned too much about myself, but it feels like a weird thing for altruism to do and could be exploited by a mana needing acolyte. If it’s working as intended, no worries.
