Southern End of the Valley The small path turns here to lead north and west along the edge of the dark lake which fills most of the valley floor. The dam which holds the lake along its southern end is starting to give way here and a steady stream of water has carved a path for itself downhill to the east. The path north hugs tight along the tall cliffs surrounding the valley as if it wanted to keep away from the lake. Tall reeds line the edges of the lake and its surface is still and covered with scum.
