Caverndweller Ambush seems wack.
Description
I have played a couple in the past and attributed it to te explorer class. But after reading accounts on QHCF of it failing with other peoples various xpertises i think it bears looking into.
Could it have something to do with the Cripple effecto fo DIVE?

I need more to go on than "seems wack"; is the concern that it seems to fail too often?

Subject: not the poster but
i've had a ton of cave rangers. it is frustrating that it fails as often as it does, but when it lands, it is nice. my understanding is that regular ambush in a cave equates to "ambush onslaught onslaught cripple". if one were to normally do this, it'd fail quite a bit because of the multiple modifiers but cave rangers get a significantly reduced penalty for it as 'regular'.
i'm kind of happy as it is because it is a powerful ambush, but good lord, the kills i missed because i missed the ambush against a snared enemy about made me punch my monitor a few times. :)
all things equal, what's the miss rate for a dive ambush, 20%?

Subject: what about with waylay?
i always felt it was maybe waylay that was broken with dive ambush.

Subject: Normal ambush has 20% failure rate too?
Because dive is the default for a cavern ranger, they should be same, right?

Ok, we're wandering out of "Bug Submission" territory here.
