Subject: Not a bug (for now)
Having someone "hamstring" a creature with no legs doesn't make a ton of sense on its surface, but whoever coded hamstring did put in a condition to change the echos slightly in cases where the victim has no legs, so for the time being I am going to assume this is working as intended.
