Corpse decaying in midair

Description

I died in midair to an osprey and a little while later my corpse decayed and all my eq came back to me. My question is is this something that came about from the circumstances of my death or was this an actual bug?

Did you locate your corpse afterwards? Any idea where it was? Sounds like it fell from the sky and landed in an explore area which could cause this.
