One of the benefits of being a shifter. There can be many alligators in the world, some NPC, some PC. You need to make sure you are warranting the right one, and you can always do 2.alligator, 3.alligator, etc. This all comes with the caveat, that if there happen to be two shifters in alligator form, and you warrant the wrong one, there will likely be repercussions for your perceived incompetence.

Just a thought, but that seems a bit backwards. Shouldn't wanted flag target be the shifter's name instead of form? This way the incompetence factor still comes in if their are more than one shifter with alligator form, but its actual incompetence instead of straight luck.
Remember I'm ignorant to programming so I haven't factored that in at all.

No. It shouldn't. Just like you can't tell to Zulghinlour when Zulghinlour is shifted into a yeti, you have to tell yeti.
Again, as I said, one of the upsides of a being a shifter. Chances are it's not going to keep you out of becoming wanted very long however.
