Scatter while Faerie Fired

Explorer ranger was fighting a drow warrior. Ranger began the process of scattering (entered the command). During the lag between process starting and camoing, drow faerie fired. Ranger's wimpy kicked in. Ranger fled the room and got the message, since you're not fighting, you may as well camo (not exact wording) and was successfully camoed.
