Familiar Bug

When you die and have already conjured a familiar, you cannot conjure another familiar until you do a 'fam release'. Even though your familiar vanished when you died. If you try to cast the spell it tells you that you already have a familiar. But you get no response when you input commands like 'fam n' or 'fam who'.
