discuss with guildmaster

I recently tried to discuss with the guildmaster in an attempt to see if I'd earned any edges yet and got the you've got nothing new to discuss message. I logged off immediately after and got 500 exp from exploration and 240 exp from observation. I've been discussing fairly frequently in an attempt to discover when I might first get an edge. Despite a fair amount of exploration and observation (and a little commerce) and a small bit of Imm exp, I've yet to get one. Any chance we could get a small echo when we've done enough to earn an edge?
