Orc Demoralize

Before a Shadowed Swamp
To the north is a towering mountain of unsteady rock and vegetation. It
rises quit steadily leaving little room to make a climb up its face. The
sky is covered in a dense fog, which prevents you from seeing if the mountain
continues to rise or fall. A thick, putrid stench comes from the waste which
escapes past the palisade to your east and has settled into this area and
to the south in a foul swamp. Dead trees jut from the sloppy mixture of waste
and water, which ripples from the movement of creatures under the surface.

An orcish guard's taunts wear at your resolve.
You are affected by:
Physical effect: 'demoralize' modifies moves by -90 for 20 hours.
Physical effect: 'demoralize' modifies morale by -39 for 20 hours.
The closest orc was two rooms to my north in which I had just fled to rest up. I can assume it's because I was in the village, but I'm not certain. Is this by design?

But that's how it works. You just have to be in the same zone (the orc is yelling at you from afar).
