Loch Grym quest weirdness

I was trying to do the Loch Grynmear quest and when I get to Mariara I get this response: Apostle Mariara says 'You have made your choice. I do not desire your help.' I'm not sure why, I've done everything the same as I have in the past but have never recieved this response from her. An Imm said the quest was in my quest in progress list and said to post this here.
