Scanning bug?

I'm on my third ranger so far since the revamp, and notice something strange about scanning with this one. I am a felar plainsrunner explorer and I can see pretty much anybody when I scan, regardless of the terrain type. For instance, I can see a hidden thief on a city square, an invisible character by name when I don't have detect invisible up, or a duo transmuter like the following: You scan north. ***** Range 1 ***** (Flat) (Translucent) someone is here. However, when I walk into the room with these concealed characters, I cannot see them at all, unless it is an assassin hiding in the plains. While I like having the ability to see such people, it seems like this isn't working the way it should.
