waking up with style?

If I'm sleeping, and wake up with a message (for the commands that allow it) it seems to work differently for every command I use. Note: this is first person observation only, I've yet to ask other people how this looks (I'm kinda embarassed to ask -- seems a bit out of character). "stand message" seems to work as documented "sit message" gives me no echo "rest message" gives me the same echo as "rest" without any message. Note that "rest message" from other positions seems to work as documented (though I'm not completely positive I tried every other combo).
