Compact mode

Description

Not sure if this a bug per se, but when you have COMPACT mode on and press return (e.g. checking for new hour while sleeping), the mud doesn't display a carriage return at all. This makes it hard to notice any changes in the new prompt as it appears on the same line as the previous one: If COMPACT is off pressing enter puts the prompt neatly on a new line: Any chance of changing compact mode to work like this too?

It started working like this shortly after I posted that (without any change in my client), seemed to me like someone fixed it but just forgot to unqueue the post.
