Probably by design, but what the hell...
Assassinating doesn't cause the assassin to breathe so hard that he can't immediately hide.
BUT
Assassinating makes him bloody enough that he can't immediately enter his guild.
Killing "the old fashioned way" prevents both hiding and guild entrance.
