Blast of Frost freezes things that can't freeze?

I don't see how it makes any sense for some of these things to shatter from getting cold? Some are Energy, Electricity, Cloth, Paper, I don't see how any of those can freeze and/or shatter. A belt of Thermatology freezes and shatters! A bracelet of electricity freezes and shatters! A sleek black rod freezes and shatters! An alligator-skin whip freezes and shatters! An iron ring set with a white moonstone freezes and shatters! The chitinous shell of a rainbow runner freezes and shatters! A pair of black steel gauntlets freezes and shatters! A sash of fine green silk freezes and shatters! An iron sword freezes and shatters! An iron ring set with a white moonstone freezes and shatters! Sleeves of Alchemy freezes and shatters! A mantle of earth freezes and shatters! A cowhide knapsack freezes and shatters! The Cloak of Death freezes and shatters! A lions head mask freezes and shatters! A silver dagger freezes and shatters!
