One could make the argument that "external" things shouldn't be fixed by healing sleep. Like if an invoker sprayed you with adhesive web, or someone made plants grow up and entangle your legs. They're not really "ailments" that can be "healed" since they're external to your body.

The effect of Entangle stays with you after you move. I've always interpreted that as the effects of the injury caused (thorns, crushing, etc.), and not that you have a big pile of plants stuck to you.
Also, the code had a bug in it when I looked- Entangle wasn't specifically set up to be the type of ability Healing Sleep could or couldn't remove. Someone just forgot to fill in a blank.
