Griffith narrows his eyes and glares in Orumous the Strong's direction.
The gods protect Griffith from Orumous the Strong.
Or perhaps by design? Doesn't seem a ghostish thing to be doing.

Subject: What's the bug?
I'm not seeing any effect on Oromous, and I don't know what commune is being used.

Oromous was summoned to market square and plagued by a ghost. The plague was able to take affect without danger, due to ghost status, and then began to spread throughout Galadon. It seemed buggy to me.

When you're a ghost you can still maledict mobs without fear of being struck. In this case, judging by context, I think Griffith may be plaguing mobs and having the plague spread naturally from that mob to PCs in the room.
I know that as a maledicting class I've often taken advantage of my ghost status to maledict mobs unmolested to ease regearing. As long as it's not a damage spell you'll be protected by the gods.
